Dotted Lines around Text

I finally got PhotoImpact 7 to install on Windows 10. I lost PI6 last year after my old computer died. I'd been using PI6 since it's release in 2000. So now I'm trying to set up the panels etc the way I had them before...by memory.

Anyway, my first of many questions is how to remove the dotted lines around text while editing it.
