VideoStudio 2018 - BluRay Authoring
Hi VS Users,
I've recently upgraded to VideoStudio 2018, and have, yet again, had to purchase the Blu-Ray authoring plug in separately.
When I click the Blu-Ray button, a little box comes up asking my to purchase this - which I have done via PayPal.
It seems to install, but little box still asks me to pay, and I still can't burn to blu-ray. (i've tried restarting videostudio and use the restore purchases option)
I have contacted support, and they told me I had to purchase the plug in again for 2018 (Which I have already done), and to try deleting some files in the %apps% folder, which I done, but still doesn't work.
My question is if anyone else has this issue? I think it may be something that's an error with the upgraded version rather than something that can be fixed by me.
Does anyone know where the installation file downloads to?
My specs are
i5 Processor
16GB Ram
Nvidia GFX 1080 8GB Video Card
Win 10 64 Bit
VideoStudio 2018

Things may have changed with VS 2018, but if you open Help then open Restore Purchase this should allow you reactivate the Blu_Ray plugin, but as I say, things may have changed

Hi
What version of Video Studio were you using and did the Bluray options work for that program?
Did you uninstall the earlier version?
You contacted Corel Support, what was the ticket number?

I also informed Corel who replied indicating they were aware of a problem
Maybe your report to them ticked the right boxes
They are working on a fix so be a little patient

Hi Everyone,
I upgraded from X10 to 2018, and it was working previously.
The ticket number is 4612566.
I always leave the previous version on in case of any problems (I've been doing this since Ulead Videostudio 3).
Regards,
David

Re: VideoStudio 2018 - BluRay Authoring
I have previously raised this and IIRC there are some old threads on this forum. Basically I purchased the Blu-ray add-on for X8. I didn't need it for X9 but would have appreciated it for X10.
Tech support advised me that you now have to purchase the rights to burn a blu-ray for each update.
My suggestion would be to instead produce the videos in the latest version, rendering them too, then create a new project in the older version that has the blu-ray plug-in. The only drawback with this is that you'll need to redo any bookmarks if you would like to use them as the rendered file won't have any.

As I mentioned earlier Corel know there is a problem with Restoring Purchase for 2018 and are working on a fix, hopefully soon?
If you have x8, x9 and x10 go through each version and run the Restore Purchase option, not sure if you need to do that, but X10 Restore Purchase should work.

Hi All,
Just to let everyone know the issue has been fixed.
No program patch is needed - I just needed to "restore purchases" now they have fixed the problem.

Re: VideoStudio 2018 - BluRay Authoring
I purchased the blu-ray authoring plug-in for VS X9 in September 2016. I bought the upgrades for X10 and today for VS2018.
I wanted to put back the plug-in by restoring purchase. But when I input my email address it say no purchases available.
I've read somewhere on this forum that I first had to do it in VS10 (I haven't used it in VS10) but the only purchase available is the upgrade to VS 2018.
How do I get the plug-in in the latest version of VS?

Hi
We do not work for Corel just volunteers running the forums.
You should contact Corel Support to explain your issue here, try the chat line.
There was an earlier problem with Restore Purchases that as far as I know has been fixed
Did you actually restore purchase when using X10? If no are you able to do that.

I tried (after purchasing upgrade to VS2018) to restore purchase in VSX10, the only available purchase was the upgrade.lata wrote:Hi

Re: VideoStudio 2018 - BluRay Authoring
Sorry If I jump into the subject but I recently purchased Video Studio 2018
The restore purchases certainly not working...As of March 7/2018
I had the same situation with VS X9 although Restore Purchases shows up but the BluRay plug-in was never available....
I contacted Support 2 times and got an answer this morning (9.30 am Montréal time)telling me that plug in for bluray ='Blu-ray plugins only work for the version that it was bought for'
My original purchase was with VS X8
my ticket 4678696
