Videostudio X10 weird cropping after export

Post by leeuwinnetje »

Hi,

I'm using Videostudio Ultimate X10.5.0.60 (64bit) on my Windows 10 pc.

And i'm loving the software. But sometimes it causes A LOT of trouble.
When i don't edit any sound or music with my videos, there are no problems.

But sometimes when i do add a voice over or music, the program will make a complete mess of my clips after i try to export it.
The export will result in a movie that is only 50% of the actual movie. And when i return to my clips, they are also all about 50% shorter and every trim has shifted to another place in the clip.
So i have to redo my complete movie and hope it goes well the second time.

Now, i have found out that if i don't touch the sound, there are no problems. But as soon as i start mixing with the soundmixer, i'm getting these problems after exporting.

To work around this problem, i 've not been using sound for quite a while now. But this also means i can't edit to the beat properly. So i just want to figure out what's causing this problem.
How does a sound mixer cause the whole video to collapse, shorten and loose trim moments?

Hi
And welcome to the forums

I have no idea why this should be happening when using the Sound Mixer?

There have been reports of various clips, titles, images etc. seemingly moving out of position
These were attributed to settings being incorrect or mixed.
Project properties having different settings to the video, then choosing a different format when sharing / rendering

1 / Can you give more details regarding your Project Properties, what are they?
2 / Details of the Video file, Right click the video and choose properties, what are they? you can create an image of that panel to attach to your post.
Where did the video come from, recordings using Iphones usually use a variable frame rate, difficult for video editors to cope as a constant rate is easier edited.
3 / Audio files using the Lame MP3 codec can be troublesome?
4 / and finally what do you choose when doing Share

Ideally your project properties should match the video files properties and the Share settings the same as video properties, where possible…..
