Track Motion in prox8
Struggling a little with track motion.....I have a 3 camera project in the timeline of a xmas nativity play. Trying to pixelate a face throughout the project, and can manage with anything that is on the first video track...this works well but when I try on a section which is using Overlay track 1, I can`t get it to work.....when you click on this footage, it tells you to select some footage on the video track. So I have done that and this affects the footage on the video track but the overlay (2nd camera) has not had the effect attached to it ? In other words..............I can`t put a track motion pixelation on the overlay sections ? Hope this makes sense.

For the overlay track you have to use Match Motion. Search the Corel Help system for Match Motion for further explanationyugoman1 wrote:Struggling a little with track motion.....I have a 3 camera project in the timeline of a xmas nativity play. Yes I have already had a little experiment with Match Motion but couldn`t understand how it works, but if you say this is the answer, I will look again thanks.

I don't know if that is the answer but the help file seems to indicate that. I have never really used the tracking motion features very much especially not with multi-cameras.

Re: Track Motion in prox8
I think match motion is the right method but I can`t get it to work..............I have selected this option after I have tracked on the video track but what I am getting now is a small square of the actual video from the overlay on the person`s face rather than a pixelation ?? It is driving me mad so I will come back to it later.

Hi
I have not used track Motion and the Match motion did not mean that much to me.
But we can replace the clip on the overlay track, at the moment it is just a placeholder.
I see a “1” on my clip, right click that clip for locate on pc, its just a jpeg image.
Replace the clip.
Using any image from the library, drag over the clip on the overlay track. Hold Ctrl key and drop the clip.
You could make your own pixilated image
Use Chrome options to set opacity / transparency.
