Relinking Issue VSX10.5

I am creating a project where all the content is located on an external drive, these are old canovision tapes copied to DVD some years ago which I have now converted to mpg.
So following the normal procedure, I select File/Insert Media to Library/Insert Video, locate the folders on the external drive then import the necessary files.
So far some 40 files have been imported without issue, now the last 3 files I import show correctly in the library and can be edited as normal. However when I close the program and turn off the portable drive then relaunch VSX10.5, open the project everything opens correctly except those last 3 videos where the relink option appears and the 3 videos now have yellow in the left corner and not white, so it is necessary to connect the portable drive to allow relinking.

Deleted the 3 thumbnails and imported again, no difference, unless the portable drive is connected relinking is still required

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem, the file locations have never changed

Oops, my error, forgotten that the laptop has 2 drives and all those tapes are also stored on D: drive, those last 3 tapes were imported direct from the portable drive, did not consider at the time, that if all the tapes had been imported from the portable, then all the videos would have needed relinking
