So, I've got this video where the background wall has some damage on it and I would like to "brush" it out. In image editing, I can use a "clone" tool to cover it up using another part of the wall. But when I search for "clone" and video editing, it means something completely different.
In any case, how would I fix this image? ... In the video. I've circled the problem area on the wall (see attached image). (I know, I know. Get some plaster, some paint, fix it up.)

Re: How to fix portions of an image
It really depends on the video content and movement within the video
I assume the camera is on a tripod
There may be a few ways to cover the wall
I have attached a Smart Package that contains two options
The first uses Mask Creator to cut a hole, your neighbour then holds a copy of the wall over the hole.
The second uses the cropping filter to crop a section to the left of the hole.
Then uses that on the overlay to cover the hole. You could use another image of a photo frame to cover the hole.
Now it depends on where the guitar moves

Thanks! I will give those options a try.
Unfortunately, the ukulele neck does cover the spot several times. But I've watched a few other videos and I think I can compensate for that using the Boris FX. I just wasn't sure how to effectively use crop or masking to do it. ... or if there was a better way.

Re: How to fix portions of an image
A simple way: 1. Open in Photoshop and use the eye dropper to set the wall color from the photo.
2. Now, create a blank transparent background frame
3. Use the Bucket tool to add the color to the blank frame.
4. Save colored frame as jpg and use it to overlay the hole in VS.
I assume you are familar with PS and know how to use the overlay.
