Hi,
I'm a new user of ver. Pro X9 and I'm considering upgrading to 2018 Pro.
I noticed that Pro x9 tries to open IE 11. Is there a way to configure it to use the system 'default browser' (Firefox) or Chrome?
What if I upgrade to 2018 Pro, does that version give a browser choice?
If not, is there a workaround?
Thank you,
JF

Re: IE 11 Requirement?
Hi
and welcome to the forums...
First time I have seen this post, but then I cannot read them all.
We do not work for Corel, just like you, users of the programs, trying to help others.
I do not know about the default browsers, but for my own reasons use IE, some others do not display the full details of the forum, so need IE.
At the moment using Firefox just as a test.
Ok
So when does PSP X9 try to open IE?
I doubt that upgrading will have change the browser default options

Hi
I have just set my Windows Settings – default Apps – Web Browser to use Firefox
PSP X9 Choosing Help User Guide PDF opens using Firefox.

Re: IE 11 Requirement?
Hey -- that's great, and very helpful!
I tried going to the same Help area you did and it worked properly, using the default browser. I then retested my prior experience and it remained the same. BUT, it's limited to the items on the introductory panel that pops up when you start the program (and before you tell it not to open that intro panel). So whoever developed that panel forgot to update it and kept it hardwired to call IE11, while the development team for the program did a much better job.
Glad you helped me isolate the problem, and now I can start experimenting with the program.
Many Thanks!
