Folks
I am new to VS10 so please bear with me. I am trying to make many small clips out of one larger clip. I tried the multi-trim feature but I am unable to even begin using it.
My original video is upside down and I had to invert it to view it. But when I try to launch the Multi-Trim window it asks me to reset all attributes to default before it will launch - which means I can only see the upside down video in muti-trim window.
What are the options I have without splitting a clip into pieces? This look like a very basic defect in product design that makes VS10 basically unusable to me as most of my gopro clips are shot upside down on a stick.

To split a video, simply position the trim marker on the timeline then right-click and invoke the "Split Clip" option (see image below).G0bble wrote:I tried the multi-trim feature but I am unable to even begin using it.
This is not "a very basic defect" as what you want to do is something that many users, including myself, have been doing for years using many different versions of VS. For example, VS readily rotates GoPro and Sony Action Cam clips, using the 'Rotate Left' and 'Rotate Right' options, which can then be split into umpteen parts if that is your want.G0bble wrote:This look like a very basic defect in product design that makes VS10 basically unusable to me as most of my gopro clips are shot upside down on a stick.

Re: Multi-Trim limitations
Thanks for your replies and getting me unstuck. Yes the alternative options listed above work . I opened VS10 after a gap of many months hence being a complete newbie did not realize splitting is equally functional and easily accomplished. However it looks like the original problem statement is still a valid issue although not critical - when using multi-trim window one is forced to reset to defaults hence upside down videos cannot be edited usefully with this feature. Out of curiosity - Anyone has an idea why this is implemented in this way - forcing a reset to defaults?
