Flast Flick templates from VSX9 to !)

Hmmm... FWIW and from one Ken to another, I too cannot find those folders. I've never had to look before because I confess I don't use FastFlick. But a quick search of the computer, including in AppData, failed to find anything. Don't have time right now for a more advanced search. Hopefully someone else will have already found them!

Path C:\Users\Ken\Documents\CorelVideoStudioPro\VSPTemplate, show all the Instant Project Templates you have installed in VS

I think the correct path for the FastFlick Templates is C:\ProgramFiles\Corel\CorelVideoStudioX10\EditingStyle\InstantProject
My folder has 25 templates which is the same as shown in FastFlick

I don't think you will find the templates in: C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject. That folder does not exist

Look instead in: C:\Program Files (86)\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject.

Thanks Robert. I guess they must be there in the Editing Style sub-folder. It's just that there is no reference at all to FastFlick, and as Trevor has been at pains to point out there are differences between Instant Projects and FastFlicks even if the central idea is the same.

canuck -- the problem is that I have no folder referring to FastFlick in either Program Files\Corel or Program Files (x86)\Corel; nor for that matter any sub-folder with FastFlick in its name in Corel\Corel VideoStudioX*...

Something I have noticed, not sure how VS is doing it, but if I create a new template and save within a new folder in Instant Projects, that template now appears in FastFlick, yet that template does not appear in the EditingStyle\InstantProject folder

There are several folder destinations for instant projects

The EditingStyle\ folders hold the templates installed by the program / Contents packs etc.
The VSPTemplates in the documents structure are for user defined templates.
Those installed by plugins, downloaded from Do-More or saved by the user, File – Export as Template.
They also includes Graffiti templates.

As Kenneth’s instructions are to copy rather than install I would suspect using
C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

Template folders here although look the same having similar files can be different and import to a different IP folder, usually Custom.
The Graffiti templates look the same but the program automatically creates the Graffiti folder.

When you extracted the folder from the Zip file, what name did that folder have?

I found the templates in the compressed folder before unzipping them when trying to find the location that the installation pdf suggested. That is C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject. Or C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject
The path of the templates were C:Users\Ken\Downloads\Compressed\Reminiscing
( for the Rem. Template )
After double clicking the Rem. File folder there was a list of placeholder jpegs etc and a Rem.vsp file, double clicking that file opened VSX10 and put the Rem Fast Flick in the VS timeline
That, rightly or wrongly achieved my object.

We can add any Fast Flick template directly to the timeline, but that does not act as a Fast Flick template, just a series of clips with effects added

As you have purchased a Fast Flick bundle you need to get that working within Fast Flick.
Other wise its just an Instant Project.

Don’t Know….
To use the FastFlick templates correctly we have to see then in FastFlick.
Simply adding them to the timelines will only display as an Instant Project.

I do not really understand what you have got, you mention a Rem file, but would have expected a few templates not just one, I assumed you have purchased a pack of templates, maybe 6 or so?

You should copy the entire folders to :-
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\EditingStyle\InstantProject

I see 25 template folders there, as far as I know all installed by Video Studio
Fast Flick also has 25 templates, I assume that is the place to copy your templates

I approached Kenneth asking that he provides me with the Zip file.

The zip file contains folders as described by Ken above, with instructions to copy and paste the folders which do appear to be the actual templates folders, but not so.

Most folder contains a Sub folder, that being the actual Templates Folder
Again each sub folder has PDF instructions to install.
In addition some templates ( I think 3) have an additional Zip file dedicated to the template, has the same name but appears to contain different files/different template?

All in all it is a bit of a mess and not a straight forward install process.

The folder route

Does not exist

Copying the “correct” folders to
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio X9\EditingStyle\InstantProject
Some showed in IP library and FastFlick, but not all

I think some may need pasting to:-
C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

I’ll identify which is which and get back to you.
There does appear to be duplicates which confuses things.
And as you mentioned an extra Free Music Zip file.

As for the Kaledeoscope and Coloring Book, you need to check your downloads

Re the Kaledeoscope and Coloring Book, they must be some where on the my PC. I will make further investigations and report back when at home.I do have the download link still, it only allows 5 downloads per ietm before the end of Jan,I do not know how some have been downloaded multiple times but there you are.When I have posted problems over the years, I sometimes think they cannot be only affecting me and it is due to my lack of knowledge.But more oftren than not, it is not an imagined issue and like this current problem it does affect others and is either sorted or identified by dedicated Admin members and other forum posters.This forum is a great resource.
