Flast Flick templates from VSX9 to !)

Can the Photo Parade slideshow Template that came free with VSX9 and any others that are not in VSX10 Ultiumate be imported into VSX10, if so how

You appear to be posting separately for similar questions, Fast Flick, it may be best to keep your posts in one place. I have merged your other two posts

As far as I know X9 has the same templates as X10

Can you give more details as the FastFlick templates do not have names so difficult to identify.

FastFlick templates should be in the Instant Projects Library
So what does the V look like, can you provide a screenshot / image?

The above 4 images, Fastflick 1 to 4, are the sequence of events leading in Fastflick up to the last "V" of Video Studio which I could not delete using the backspace key (worked for all the other letters)

Hi Kenneth

First are you sure you wish to use Fast Flick that creates a complete project or use Instant Projects that creates an intro to your existing project.

The “V” is the remains of the text box Video Studio, treat it like any other text box, delete it from the timeline if you wish
However you can edit the test when using Fast Flick, play the template till the text appears, clicking the text should allow you to edit/replace the text. The text editor should appear on the right. Type direct on screen as you do for Video Studio.

as far as I know there are two free templates Positive Vibes and Wedding Templates, view the Welcome screen, Get More

I do not know about the X9 free “ Photo Parade Slide Show Template”

All Instant Project Templates once installed should be saved to a folder within the VSPTemplates folder
C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

These will be automatically imported to Video Studio Instant Projects / Instant Projects or Custom folders and where appropriate be available using Fast Flick.

Thanks for the response Trevor.Let me explain what I am doing VS project wise.I have 12 folders on the hard drive that have photos in them taken by an iphone, 1 for each month of 2017.To avoid the the black bars, I have put the 1st few months photos on backgrounds , changed their entry and exit points for a bit of variety and used o/lays.Then I decided to use a different fast flick template for displaying photos for each month .That, so far is what I have started to do.So I am using fast flick in that way.
I am treating the fast flick text box like any other but it is not responding(for me) like any other,as the screen shots show, the text will not delete 100% ,the last letter will not go like all the others in the box allowing me to replace it.

As far as I know the Video Studio text is a standard text box, no different to any other, we can of course animate the text, other than that is the same.
You can change the text within FastFlick or when back on the timelines.
FastFlick and Instant Projects use multiple timelines, not all show unless we select the “Show all Visible Tracks” (top left of timelines the little square icons.)

Can you attach the VSP to your post
Open FastFlick and create a short movie that contain the suspect text.
Return to Video Studio to continue editing
Save the project – Zip and attach to your post

We should be able to open and at least view the text if not the content.

The text editor in FastFlick does not behave like the text editor in VX9 so it is best to avoid it. Simply take your FastFlick project to VX9 and you can easily make any edits

I think it will be easier from my point of view if from now on I edit fast flick text after it is imported into VSX10.

The few times I have used FastFlick is to only create a base slideshow but the "real" editing is done in VX9 or VX10

I have downloaded a Fast Flick Template and unzipped it but cannot send it to its recommended destination folder because Windows 7 is not able to find it.The destination folders were listed as .
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject
If you have installed the 32 bit version of Corel FastFlicks, the location would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject
Not knowing if I have downloaded a 32 bit or not I tried both folders by copy and pasting the file path but none worked.A windows search did not find them.
How do I know which version I have downloaded and how do I get it where it is supposed to be

I mentioned in an earlier post that you may be best using Instant Projects rather than Fastflick

I have actually downloaded the best sellers slideshow bundle for fast flick from the Discovery Storehttps://shop.learn.corel.com/products/best-sellers-slideshow-bundle-for-fastflick?itrkid=TYNMonthlyVideo. (There was a sale offer on)That is where the folder file path info came from during the download process.
I went to the instant project button in the VS library panel to explore .It asked if I wanted to have instant projects from previous versions which I agreed to.There were quite a few.I noticed that some of them looked the same as fast flick templates which makes me ask what is the difference between when they are in the vs timeline?
I would be happy not to use fast flick even though I have spent out on them but what is the issue with FF. Thought it might suit my purpose.

Fast Flick uses templates similar to Instant Projects but are a little special in the way they construct the slide show.
Instant Projects are added to the timeline by right click from library choosing Add to Beginning or End
An assortment of clips presented as an intro can be seem, for arguments sake there are 6 images. We have to replace the clips / placeholders with our own images/video.
Then we would add our own images to complete the slide show. Finally add another IP to the end to finish the slide show, again replacing the place holders.

Fast Flick uses similar templates containing a Beginning Middle and Ending
Lets assume that each section contains 6 clips.
We have 60 images to use in our slide show.
Six are used to fill the beginning and ending sections, that’s 12 in all
The middle section also contains 6 sequence clips with effects applied, this section then repeats
using the remaining 48 images.
Returning to the timeline to complete the editing, replacing text probably the most we have to do.
Check the project to make sure our images are in the correct position and not distorted which can occur if our images are the wrong aspect, depending on the effect applied to the images.

Downloaded Fast Flick Templates….

The downloaded file may be zipped.
Locate that file on your hard drive and save to a safe location, I would save to the same location as my Video Studio download files, wherever --- keep it safe
Unzip the file and you should have a .exe file.
Double click that and it should install
The templates should be available from Fast Flick and showing in Instant Projects Library.

AFAIK they may be installed to subfolders with in this folder
C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate
Although you mention another destination folder?

FastFlick Template Installation
After downloading the template file, unzip the template folder.
Copy the folder to the following location: C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject.
If you have installed the 32 bit version of Corel FastFlicks, the location would be C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel FastFlick\EditingStyle\InstantProject
I cannot find those 2 file paths on my PC, nor the following C:\Users\Ken\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate .Nor could I find any .exe files of relevance. In the compressed folder I did find file folders with the names of the templates .I double clicked them, they listed placeholder jpegs, audio and others including a .vsp file .I double clicked the .vsp file, that opened up the named template in the VS timeline. I then saved the project with the template name on my hard drive and repeated this for every Fast Flick Template. This was the only way I could find to get the Templates.
