On many of the graphics I create, I need many copies of the same shape. In PSP8, I would create the shape (as a vector), position the first occurrence of the shape where I wanted it, and then "select" it and "copy" it. Then I could "Paste as New Vector Selection" into the current (vector) layer as many times as I liked.
In PSP 2018, the menu option is showing as available (that is, it is not grayed out), but attempting to execute the option (either via Ctrl-G or direct menu selection) results in nothing being pasted (but one of the background raster layers being selected).
According to recent forum postings, this is a known issue. (See here and here.) I realize my post comes not so very long after these other two, but I am in high hopes that Corel has been working on a fix over the holidays.
Has anybody heard anything promising? Thank you!
P.S. I've been able to find a work-around, but it's a pain in the hindquarters. Paste the vector selection as a new layer, move the new layer in order to position the vector selection as desired, expand the new and old vector layers in the Layers palette, and drag the vector object from the new layer onto the old layer. (The position of the new vector object is preserved in the old layer in the image.) Then delete the new layer.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
