When doing a voice over any click automatically stops the voice over. According the voice over tool only ESC and Spacebar should stop the recording.

When doing a live screen capture clicking on the screen capture tool automatically stops the screen capture. It would be logical that nothing would stop the screen capture except clicking stop, or in maybe you had a pause button, but that does not exist.
