trouble increasing text font size
I cannot seem to increase the size of text in the preview area. I have font size up to 200, but when I click on the preview screen to drag it to make it bigger, it doesn't allow me. How can I increase the size of the text to the size I want?

Re: trouble increasing text font size
Hi
A 200 font size is quite large and the limit of the text editor.
However we can apply Customise Motion to our text to further increase the size.
Right click the clip for Customise Motion
Note that all your characters have to be on screen / visible to use Customise Motion.

Re: trouble increasing text font size
On some font styles it is small and I go to the maximum size of 200 and click on the preview window to drag it bigger, but it won't let me. I have gone into the customize motion to make the text bigger, but I have seen on some tutorials from Gripps that the font size is small and he just clicks and drags the text on the preview screen to make it bigger. I have tried the exact same thing, with even the same text set to 200 and it won't allow me to drag the text to make it bigger. Is there another way other than going into Customize Motion?

Re: trouble increasing text font size
The font size can only be set between 1 and 200
The actual display size may vary when selecting different font types.
The project properties frame size also affects the character size
If you change the project properties to 720 X 576 then characters will be larger than using 1920 x 1080, however your project properties frame size are best set to your output size.
Irrespective of that the font size is limited to 200.
Your other option is to use an image editor to create a Jpeg containing the text.

Re: trouble increasing text font size
Trevor, you can combine "SD" size in HD project.
You can set project to SD, or lower
-Type all text needed at 200 and save to favorites
-Set project to HD
-and place all text where needed.
*** the text will be larger than native 200 at HD .

Re: trouble increasing text font size
Hi Asik
Nice trick, take care that the sizes remain after rendering.
Once the sizes have been set, then a little difficult to tweak as the font size will revert to 200
I thought the Customise Motion would have been as good a choice.
Then use Copy and Paste Attributes to resize other text clips helps
The animation – zoom would also work, but dfuc1 did not wish to use zoom?

Frankly Trevor,
I never check rendering result as I never used that trick in any of my videos.

Re: trouble increasing text font size
Thanks all for the help. The easiest way still seems to use the Customize Motion option.

Re: trouble increasing text font size
Make sure that all your text is visible on the preview screen when applying Customise Motion
