No one could possibly help with the total lack of information you have provided: what kind of camera are you using? How edxactly have you got it connected to the computer? What are the specifications of the computer and the operating system? What version of Video Studio are you using?

The camera i'm using is fairly new to me cuz I bought it for my vacation its called ermm.. dv5000 from Mustek, mpeg4.
I have it connected to my puter with an usb cable and my OS is windows XP. I have no idea what you mean with spefications though?? :(
Oh and Video Studio 6 SE Basic.

You need a firewire connection to capture video from a digital camcorder.
Read the top sticky post on this forum for a step by step guide for avoiding problems with Video Studio.

Not in this case. The Mustek camcorders are cheap (no offense) non-DV flash memory-based camcorders with USB connections and hardware MPEG4-encoding. Most if not all of them cannot record DV quality video, and certainly not at useful framerates (who would want 640x480 at <10fps?).

It is possible that the camcorder requires a custom capture plugin -- try using "Change Capture Plug-In" to see what capture drivers are listed. This option should be on the "Tools" menu.
