Using tablet pen causes cursor to stick to the right side

Post by mrfacfur »

I opened up paintshop 2018 for the first time today and when i use my tablets pen on the screen the the cursor will jump over to the right side of the screen and only can be moved up and down. I tried it in painters essentials 5 as well and the same thing occurs. however the pen still will work and a apply color if the workspace is lined up against the right side of the screen. using the pen on the desktop or in sketchbook which is what i have been using up to this point seems to work totally fine, so i assume it has something to do with corel products only. Does anyone have any insight?
My tablet is a Ugee 2150.

Both programs check under Preferences- PSP-Miscellaneous-Pen Tablet Interface- choose WinTab for Wacom, Real Time Stylus for other tablet pens.
Painter Essentials 5- Edit, Preferences, Tablet, WinTab or Real Time Stylus.

See if selecting proper one for your tablet helps.

If your pen tablet works with other programs OK, you don't need to calibrate your pen for your screen.

That dosent seem to work unfortunetly. It still behaves pretty much the exact same way. Psp works slightly better but not enough that i can actually feel comfortable using it.

I suspect then that the problem lies with your tablet model- I'm not familiar with Ugee, but I know others that have had problems with Corel programs with non-Wacom or RTS devices.

Try contacting the tablet manufacturer if you want to try to use Corel programs. I see on Ugee list none are listed- http://www.ugee.eu/compsoftware/

Actually it does mention painter. Though it may be a different version its referring to. It just seems odd that for being something that probably isnt supported, it still half-works. It makes me think that it might be something else, but if thats the problem, then there really isnt much I can do I guess. I will try contacting ugee support though.

Unfortunately, Corel Painter is quite a different program from PaintShop Pro... So it's not a question of a different version, but a whole different program...

Yes I missed Painter on the list- you just don't know what version. Paintshop Pro isn't on the list that I can see.

Regardless, you should contact Ugee support as it seems to be a tablet specific problem.
