saving a screen shot as a jpg.
Do not know if this is even possible with VS8. What I would like to do is take a video clip that I have and make photos of different areas of the clip. This is a vacation clip that I would like to pull some photos out of. Is this even possible?

The simplest way is to first choose the frame you want a shot of. Then click on the icon above the timeline that I have the red arrow pointing to in the attached image. Then in the screen which appears click Snapshot and the image should appear in your library window.
Note that you can choose between JPEG and BMP as the snapshot format in VS Preferences > Capture.
