Is there a way to define your own keyboard shortcuts in PaintShop Pro?
I looked for some dialog box that would allow me to do that, but all I found was the mapping display that showed me what the current mappings were, but did not allow me to change anything. Some things I do often (for example, flattening layers) and there is no existing keyboard shortcut for many of them, so I would like to define them, if possible.

View > Customise > Keyboard tab allows you to choose a command and set a new keyboard shortcut for it. But use the Help Keyboard Map to check what shortcut keys have not been used .

That is very odd. I opened View -> Customize, but there is no Keyboard tab. The only tab that I see is Options. Here is a screen shot:hartpaul wrote:View > Customise > Keyboard tab allows you to choose a command and set a new keyboard shortcut for it. Re: Keyboard shortcuts in PSP
Ah. I see the problem now.
To be able to set up keyboard shortcuts you apparently need to have PSP set up to use the "Complete" workspace. I had it set up to use "Essentials" and, in that state, much of the functionality is not just not visible, it apparently is not available. That also explains why I could not find it when I was looking.
I changed the set up to "Complete" and saw the Keyboard tab. Thank you for letting me know. I guess I will have to be careful as to which workspace I use in the future if I want full functionality.

Re: Keyboard shortcuts in PSP
Glad that helped. I was remiss in saying that I always use the complete Edit workspace with also a manage tab. I only open the program with the Edit workspace as default as that is where the greatest amount of features , customizations etc lie.
