Re: Delete transition from library
Transitions in the library has no effect on a project unless dragged to the time line.
The same goes with the letters on your keyboard, they hold no effect on your novel unless you click on them.
** On the other hand, why don't you select the few you like and keep them as favorites?

Re: Delete transition from library
The transition I mention above caused VS to freeze when working on a project and it took a long time to diagnose and detect this.Putting all the others in favorites would be a way to isolate it for future reference but would defeat the object of favourits.

Re: Delete transition from library
I don't think asik was suggesting you put all the non-problem transitions in Favourites -- just the ones you use most often. And for the sake of your audiences, I would hope that would be a very small number. Personally, for instance, I use only the Crossfade transition 99% (or even a little more) of the time... if I am not using a straight cut, that is. It is extremely rare that I use any other transitions, and then only to achieve a very specific purpose for a specific scene.
If you look at professionally made movies, you will see that straight cuts prevail and transitions are (very) rare...
Surely you don't use so many transitions that you cannot remember which ones are the problem ones and simply don't use them?

Ken if you realy hate flying fold , you can try this at your own risk
search for airplane.vfx in the VS folder,
rename it and see if the trans flied away.

Re: Delete transition from library
The reason for my post was to try and find a certain way of not using particular transitions for someone with a sieve like memory, especially when I am in the middle of adding loads of them. I realise that adding loads of transitions is not the professional way to do it but my DVDs are only viewed by friends and family .The transitions are usually in-between images of a slideshow and very often they get the positive feedback more so than the content. At present I have the cross fade only in favourites. Often I use cross fade in images/video of the same scene(s) type then use a different transition when the scene type changes. I am not a particular fan of the transition in question, I try to use a different one each time and that one happened to be next in line.

Re: Delete transition from library
I have no problem at all with the "flying Fold" transition when used between photo images or video clips.
There must be something else in your project to cause your problems

Re: Delete transition from library
Hi Guys
Maybe an explanation, sorry for any confusion here….
Kenneth was struggling with a project freezing whilst rendering, post here
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 46#p351046
after his last confusing reply I asked Ken if he would like help via Team Viewer.
This I did, the last section of the project was a simple slide show, nothing unusual except would not render.
Several flying type transitions were replaced with crossfade, only after replacing what seemed to be the last flying transition did the project render ok.
I am still unsure as to the actual culprit that caused the crash.
Ken completed the video eventually burn to disc.
Other things within the program caught my attention as being unusual.
I advised Ken to re-install the program which I am sure will fix any transition issues.
Ken I will reply to your post here.

Deleting the transitions is not recommended, the best and easiest option is to add the transitions to your favourites folder that will allow you to use the ones you like.
Simply right click any transition and choose Add to Favourites.
