I have Video Studio Pro X3.
I imported more types of video files: mp4, mts and mov.
In EDIT-mode when I playback them in Clip mode sounds are correct, when In Project Mode, the mov-files have no correct sound, for the other two files are correct.
I would be very happy to get advice, since I just preparing videos to my grandchildren for Christmas.
No sound in Project Mode in case of MOV-files

Re: No sound in Project Mode in case of MOV-files
Welcome to the forum!
Do you have the Quicktime .mov codec installed on your computer? We know that Apple is no longer developing Quicktime for PCs, but you can still install Quicktime Essentials to get only the codec, which is quite safe.
It might also help, though, if you could right click on one of the .mov files in the VS timeline and copy ALL its Properties here, please, including especially the Audio properties. Or you could take a screen shot of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for your quick reply.
It looks I have Quick tiem Player installed, but it does not work (see 2 attachements)
I also attached the properties of a MOV-file.
I hope they are helpful.

Re: No sound in Project Mode in case of MOV-files
Hi Ken,
Meanwhile I was waiting your reply I tried the followings:
- I tried Quicktime Player standalone again, it's working well, I can open .mov-files and they are played well,
- I tried to install Quicktime Essentials, I've found a lot of sources from where I've installed them, but none of them solved my problem.
Btw. I don't really understand the difference between Clip mode and Proeject mode, what could be the special problem if in Clip mode the sound is correct, but in Project mode only some noises can be heard.
Since I have to finish my Family Video to my grandchildren in 2 days, I started to convert all the .mov-files to .mp4-files. I imported some into VS, their sounds are correct.
My problem is there are more then 50 .mov-files already edited in my video, therefore it would be a hard work to do the some edit with .mp4-files.
I still hope you can give me some advice how to fix the sound problem with .mov-files.
