32-bit-open-formats?

Post by autocart »

Hi all,
http://help.corel.com/paintshop-pro/v20 ... 3ww1521271

The file formats marked with an * on the linked page (cmx, drw, hpgl, hgl, hpg, pcd and wpg), supposedly are supported (only) by the 32-bit version of PSP.
However, when I open the 32-bit version of PSP 2018 and I do a file/open... and browse the drop-down of the supported file formats, then those formats are still not listed (with the exceptions of pcd and wpg - which are the only two being listed).

Does anyone know why or what the problem is? Thx.

Laziness on the part of the documentation writers? Honestly I have no idea. CMX, RW, HPGL, HGL, and HPG are all absent in X8 as well. Not sure how far back you need to go to find when they were last supported. Probably the first instance of 64-bit PSP. Otherwise they wouldn't have the little "32-bit only" notes.

HPGL is supported in Version X2. Sadly i have a large gap in my installs of PSP. So I can't check when the support ended.
