I have a ton of old Paint Shop Pro 6 Files in need of converting to Corel Photo-Paint 7.
Does anyone know of a conversion utility to do this?
The Paint Shop Pro 6 files do have an .PSP extention which is different than the ,PSP extension for Paint Shop Pro 7... and as a result... the Corel Photo-Paint 7 import utility will not work.
I do have an older Win XP PC and a PSP 7 disk, and also a Corel Photo-Paint 4 disk. So I can use that to make the conversion... but if there is a utility already... that would be much simpler.
Thanks in advance if anyone has a suggestion.

Re: Conversion From Paint Shop Pro 6 to Corel Photo-Paint 7
You might get more responses in the CorelDRAW forums, which is where CorelPHOTO-PAINT is handled. That is at https://community.coreldraw.com
I happen to have the CorelDRAW X7 suite, though I confess I have never used its Photo-Paint element. The last time I used it was in its version 6 and that's 6, not X6! Way before I started using PSP. I only ever use the DRAW element these days.
I see what you mean, though, as I have just fired up Photo-Paint X7. I just tried opening a half dozen or so of my .pspimage photos produced in PSP (various versions). Photo-Paint lists Corel PaintShop Pro images in their list of importable formats. But all of them returned a msg saying that either the image was not importable "using the selected filter" or were not supported, which is strange.
The real problem is that I personally am not aware of any program out there which can convert .pspimage files apart from PaintShop Pro itself. Hopefully if there is, someone else will jump in here with the name.
In the meantime, I suspect you are going to have to fire up your old XP computer and install PSP 7. (Is that 7 or X7 [17], by the way?) You would need to convert your .pspimage files to something like .png to retain most if not all the special features which come with .pspimage files. PNG files should be perfectly openable by Photo-Paint -- but then again, so should .pspimage files too, I would have thought...
