I have just started using Corel MyDVD and it was going well until the application crashed and closed whilst adding chapters and creating chapter menu.
There was no error code given just a message saying unkown error occurred application must close down.

Re: Corel MyDVD closing when adding chapters
Hi
I have tried using X9 MyDVD without problems.
I used Mpeg2 and MTS files on both occasions I was able to add chapters without crashes.
Then I continued and saves the movie as an ISO file.
I was then able to play that using VLC Media Player all chapters showed without problems.
What type of files are you using? You may be best using the files that are compliant disc files, for a DVD would be Mpeg2.
I then checked the properties of the final video to find my Pal originals had been converted to NTSC with the interlacing also being change from Upper to Lower Field.
I do not normally use MyDVD so maybe I missed a setting somewhere.
Ok I found the Pal setting via File - Project Settings but the interlacing has still been changed?
As I say no crashes during my tests, so what type of files are you using?

If you have the full version of videostudio why are you using that horrible mydvd program it's a load of rubbish , no serious editor uses it
uninstall it ditch it , and use videostudio to burn your dvd's
