VideoStudio X9 slow responsiveness

I have been using VSX9 for a while now without any problems but just recently I have noticed that it is very slow when I try and drag and drop video files to the timeline and then is is very slow when I try move left or right and clipping segments out.

There is no problem with the rendering speed.

Is there perhaps a temp file folder that needs to emptied.

Hi,
Do you do any system "cleanups" on regular bases?
Run ccleaner from time to time.
How many programs run in the background?
Did you install anything lately, like unnecessary windows update?
Are you realy still on XP with 1GB ram???

I am using a AMD 4ghz Eight Core processor with 32gb ram 6TB hd space windows 10 64bit with all latest updates.

VSX9 runs slow even when it is the only app that is open.
I will try the simple clean up tools.
