PSP 2018 Ultimate, no welcome screen when opening (FIXED)

Post by Pafster »

I Have purchased the 2018 ultimate package. installed everything and when I open it I only have a home and edit tab. the work space is blank no Welcome screen. I re-installed 3 times and always the same. no option for Essential in the preferences.
I called support and the guy said to install google chrome browser!! WTF. I use Firefox. and don't see the relevance of the browser.

Anyone have this problem ? How do I fix it?

Thanks

Yeah, That's the old IE components.
Do You have fully updated to latest Windows 10/8.1/7 SP1?

What do you mean? It needs IE to function properly? I have Win 7 pro sp1 but no IE 11.

When I tested, I do not had latest updates for IE. Only full installer of IE 11.
So I think system *has to be* fully updated.

Ok,thank you Radim.,

I updayed to IE11and updates and you're right. Everything seems fine now. Even Perfectly Clear works now wich it did'nt before.
I don't know why these programs have to bet ied in to IE and not a standard browser.

Again. Thanks.
