Cannot Change Hex Code in Materials Palette

So I generally work from the swatches view since that's all we really had in X5, my previous version. So the new 2018 is a huge upgrade lol.

Well I am writing a tutorial and went to input the hex code....and it wouldn't let me.

I did notice it allowed me to edit it in the HSL view & sliders view. Is that the way it's supposed to be? Swatches but unable to edit the hex code?

I don't know if this is by design but I can confirm your findings. The only way I see to change the HTML code when using swatches is to hover over a color and the HTML code automatically adjusts. You can manually change the HTML code if you use the wheel or sliders.

Are you talking about the Materials Palette - Materials Properties Dialog in X5 which is still available in 2018 if you switch to Materials Palette Classic View using General Program Preferences and Palettes Tab?

Oy....yes in the Materials Palette. Ah! Seems to only work in the classic view. TY!
