Hello!
My first time here, hello everyone!
I am in search of more frames for the program. I wish I had thought of saving them from each version I had, but alas, I did not. Some of the earlier versions had the ones I'm hoping to find, like oval frames that are not ornate. The edge frames often overlap the picture too much. I'm looking for a nice frame for my author site and for other projects. Used to be able to find people selling them on eBay, but my search turned up only one source. And since I know those frames are the same as he has for PhotoShop, just PaintShop Pro optimized, I know he doesn't have what I'm looking for either.
Alternatively, is there a tutorial showing how to make frames?
Appreciate any help anyone can offer!
Where might I get more frames for PSP 2018

Did you download the Creative Content? It on the Welcome Screen -> Get More -> Creative Content
If the specific frames you are looking for are not there, post back and describe the frame you want and I'll see if I have it.

I have saved all the frames since X2. Not that many additions since.
I zipped them up for you and you can download them HERE
There are a few oval frames amongst them.

Re: Where might I get more frames for PSP 2018
Thanks for your quick responses, Kathy_9 and Zantara! I believe this is the first forum I've visited for any reason where I got such a quick and helpful response!
I did download the Creative Content pack, but while there are a good bunch of frames, they aren't what I'm looking for. Too cutesy, or seasonal or not the right colors for my purpose. The edge type frames are sort of what I'm looking for, but the inside edges of those I have are too jagged, ragged, and cover too much of the picture. Looking for a smoother look.
I need a frame that will hide some of the background without obscuring the main focus - me.
I haven't yet learned how to get rid of a cluttered background successfully, so for now, I am in search of a frame to do the job.
I did find two, so far, in the file Zantara sent me that look promising. Thanks so much for that gift, Z! I haven't looked through all of the files, but I have found some others, besides, that I look forward to experimenting with. Probably spend the rest of the evening looking through them!
Thanks again to you both again!

Re: Where might I get more frames for PSP 2018
You can also make and or produce your own frames or customise some of the frames already present.
The Corel frames are located at
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro 2018\Corel_09
and are in folders as for example:
Corel_09_001.PspFrame.
Try this:
1. Run PSP 2018. Use Windows explorer to navigate to the location shown above. Drag any .PspFrame onto the workspace.
(Does not matter which one as this is just to show the method)
2. It will appear as a border around a transparent space. So if you can create any image with a transparent space similar to that then it can be exported as a new frame.. Now modify this frame - eg add a couple of picture tubes over the area that you would want to cover up.
3. If you have more than one layer then Merge > Merge Visible (to keep transparency.)
4. File > Export > Picture Frame give it a new and different name.
It will be saved to :
C:\Users\'user name'\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\2018\Picture Frames
5. Warning: As you then try and close your modified frame you will get a warning asking if you want to "Save Changes to Corel_09_xxx"
Answer No as if you do make the change it will change the original Corel picture frame and you will finish with two frames the same but with differnt names.
You can now load an image and try out your new picture frame.
