VideoStudiox9 weird problems

Post by Shaihulud »

Hey all. I bought x9 last year and have used it a few times encountering some issues that to me were weird but it has not been a problem since I've not done anything really involved with it. Well, now that has changed.

So, I'm making an instructional video for someone and I've run into these weird problems again.

The first problem is I'm trying to obfuscate personal information in the video. I'm copying the section of video I snipped and applying a mosaic, cropping and chroma mask. Withing Corel's preview it looks perfect. After the video is rendered the obfuscation is offset and I've no idea why. I'm left having render the video multiple times as I guess where I need to place the cropping.

The second problem is I attempted to render a section of video that was about 2 minutes long. Videostudio rendered the video with 1 minute of actual video and then 20 minutes of blank video.....no clue why.

If someone has suggestions, that would be great!

When I've encountered this sort of displacement problem with filters, it's because there has been a mismatch between the 'project properties' and the profile selected on the Sharing tab.

I read your post two or three times looking for the words "track motion" - did you use that and use a mosaic as the tracker ? - even if you did then choosing the point to be tracked can be a little tricky - it needs to be something which is clear on the screen throughout the video - no good using a face for instance if that face gets covered at some points in the video

If the effect you have applied plays correctly from the timelines but is displaced when rendered then we need more information regarding your project.

There were some instances of titles out of place after rendering, at the moment I cannot remember the full details but feel it was a mismatch with settings.

What are the properties of your video files? (right click any clip and choose properties)
What are the settings of your project ( Settings - Project Properties)
When you render using Share what settings do you choose?
