Copying Configuration Settings

Post by WVMontani »

I have PSP2018 on my computer at work. I also plan to install it on my home computer.

I have PSP set up at work just the way I like it, with all my favorite buttons and toolbars etc. I would like to have this same configuration at home.

Is there a particular file somewhere is the program directory or under appdata that holds all the configuration settings that I could copy from my work computer and copy into the same directory on my home computer so both systems will be the same?

File -> Workspace -> Save
Give it a name, make sure "open images" is not checked because you don't want that.

The file will be saved to your workspaces folder. Usually located at C:\Users\Username\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\2018\Workspaces

Bring that file over and it'll copy toolbars, shortcut keys, menu rearrangements. It won't copy General Preferences or File Locations but those are a lot easier to set up manually than the full interface.

You should be able to find the saved workspace file from your work computer here:

C:\Users\USER\Documents\Corel PaintShop Pro\2018\Workspaces

Just copy it and add it to the same location in your home computer. This will save your workspace configuration but not, of course, setting in Preferences.
