I am running PSP X9 in a newly built Windows 7 PC along with inherited (through registry import) file locations from the old PC that had a different Computer name. As you can see from the attachment, I have two File Locations, one belonging to the new PC called 'shim' and the other from the old PC called 'janshim'
I have tried removing all of the ones pointing to 'janshim' from PSP and also from the registry but has been unsuccessful. Each time I launch the program, the folders are recreated with all of the folders being empty. Am I missing something? After rebooting the PC, even the locations previously deleted from the registry gets recreated after I launch the program. Puzzling this one.
How to stop PSP from creating unused file locations?

Never seen this before. Have you tried doing a full reset of the workspace? First close PSP, then delete the settings from the registry. PSP writes the values on exit of PSP and reads them back in on startup. You also have to make sure you're resetting the count variable in each category so PSP doesn't go looking for them again. I cannot think of anywhere else these values would be hiding otherwise.

Mind explaining what the count variable refers to?
I have performed a full reset EXCEPT the Workspace because I have a custom workspace saved. If I reset the workspace too does it mean I'll have to recreate a new one from scratch? By importing a saved Workspace would doing so inherit the previous file locations?
