ParticleShop which packs you enjoy

Post by wallyma »

:?: I will create my own fantasy artwork, also do alot of photo retouching and photo compositing.

I find the amount of packs confusing. It feels more of a mix and match of brushes, regardless if thats the case or not. I wish they would give the option of just combining related brushes into bigger more expensive packs.

Which packs do you find are most dissimilar from each other?
I can only afford 3-4.

Thanks for any ideas!

Hi Wally. I'm afraid you are on the wrong Board to be asking about Particle Shop. As far as I am aware, although it is made by Corel, it was developed as a plug-in for Adobe Photoshop. I don't even know if it will work with Corel PaintShop Pro -- though others here may have more information on that than I do.

I don't know if there is a separate forum for Particle Shop, though it is more likely to be in one of the Adobe forums, most likely that for Photoshop. It is not discussed on our own web board. Moreover, while we discuss some Corel products -- the multimedia ones you see listed here -- and use the Corel servers, we are not run by Corel. We are a user to user board staff by volunteers who are also users, not Corel employees, who give their time to try to help other users.

Hopefully someone else may be able to give you the address of a forum dealing with Particle Shop. The nearest Corel forum I can suggest is for Corel Painter https://painterfactory.com/ That is because the particle technology used by Particle Shop was original developed in Painter. But you will need to register separately on that forum. And I can only repeat that I think it is more likely that Particle Shop will be discussed on an Adobe forum.

Yes, i found it funny after i posted that there was no Corel forum here either. I found the painter forum finally in the unconnected universe that is Corel, lol.
I shall try there. I think it is built in to painter.... Who knows..
Thanks again!
Wally

P.s.

It should really be mentioned foremost in bold in faq that the reason why your first post hadn't appeared is because it is deleted, it is because it needs to be approved. I especially thought that, since i was worried about the relevance of my post here.
Preappoval isn't normal in most forums. It's understandable, not typical. I was so close to firing off a msg to someone, to find out where my post was.

@Ken, Particle shop does work with PSP yes. :D It is also actively advertised inside of PSP under the Brushes drop-down or on 2018's Welcome Screen for Get More. I purchased and used it myself. But I didn't really have a use for it so I don't use it and I don't have any packs beyond the default ones.

So is there a Particleshop forum on the Internet? I have just bought it and have been surprised at how little support and discussion I can find. Ideally I wanted some information on the Ultimate brush pack bundles. There is no information about what packs are included in each bundle, so you can't work out which will minimize/eliminate overlap with already purchased packs. I thought I'd at least be able to find a list of keyboard shortcuts — does it even use shortcuts?
