I have recently been advised of a plugin which will allow a change in colors of one image to better match the other image. It is named METRIX (http://www.jnrubin.net/psi/).
According to the instructions it appears to be a 32bit plugin.
I have installed PSPX8 64 bit and have installed the plugin but PSP indicates there are no plugins installed probably because it is a 32 bit plugin.
Are there any ways to get around this? I did read a recent post about software to allow 32 bit plugins to be used within a 64 bit PSP but so far no replies.
Can 32bit plugins be used in PSPX8 64 bit

Re: Can 32bit plugins be used in PSPX8 64 bit
John -- the software is already in your hands, and it is called PaintShop Pro X8!! When you installed it you would have seen right at the beginning of the installation process a recommendation to install both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the program. You have obviously chosen to install just the 64 bit version. That recommendation comes because many many filters and plug-ins are old and are 32 bit which only work with 32 bit versions of programs like PSP. If you go back and reinstall X8, you should accept the recommendation, and you will then find you can install Metrix and other 32 bit filters which will appear and work in the PSP 32 bit version. If you really want to use the 64 bit version, then you can apply the plug-in, save the result and reopen it in 64 bit PSP for any further editing...

Re: Can 32bit plugins be used in PSPX8 64 bit
Thanks Ken
I installed PXPX8 2 months ago and then didn't use it until now as I went overseas.
I can't remember seeing the option to install both versions.
It seems that the uninstall process doesn't allow the user to modify so I will uninstall and reinstall.
Thanks for the advice
added later.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and noticed the prompt to install 64, 32 or both (recommended) which I think I left 'ticked' the first time I installed AND (before I uninstalled) I DID notice that there was a Corel folder in Both Program files and Program files(x86) folders and looked for an application named Corel Paint Shop Pro (as it is for the 64 bit version). I now see it is named just Paint Shop Pro - silly me or am I? Why didn't Corel name it Corel Paint Shop Pro? Or has that been 'talked about' before? I also found a desk top icon for the 32 bit version which I don't think was there after the first installation so not sure if I left 'both' selected or changed it to just 64 bit, but if I did change it to install just the 64 bit version why did the installation install files into the Program Files (x86) folder? Anyway it's all good now.
