32 Bit plugins can be run in 64 Bit!

Post by jcrous »

I came acros a windows utility that enables 32 bit plugins to be run under 64 bit.
It is called plugin bridge and designed for Photoshop 64 bit, to run 32 bit plugins.
It is found here : http://www.mediachance.com/pluginbridge/

I wonder if it wil support PSP as well.

It doesn't say Photoshop compatible, but you never know.
But why would you spend 39 USDollars on a piece of software when you can install a 32-bit version of your PSP for free, as that comes with the purchase?

Are you saying you only intend to have the 64bit version of PSP installed? Is there any reason you would do that when both versions come in the same package and offer the ability to use both 32bit and 64bit plugins? I notice that your Profile information states that you are using a 32bit operating system. You might want to change that info if, in fact, your system is 64bit. :-)

I have both versions installed, also x8 and x6.
I have rectified the 64 bit. My apologies.

Possible reasons to do this include: 1) Powerful Windows tablet with limited HDD space and using extra space for the 32-bit program just seems wasteful. 2) Dislike of having to jump between programs to use 32-bit or 64-bit versions of plugins or just because you're working on a sufficiently large photo.

So, downloaded and installed the trial.

It works pretty well. It advertises as being able to use the KPT collection (the only 32-bit plugins I use anymore) and upon installing it fully recognized PSP as a possible plugin host. It's fast, and stable on my Windows 10 machine. So it's definitely a nice option. I just don't use plugins often enough to warrant the price tag. I recommend using the trial and really testing out every plugin you intend to use 64-bit.
