Importing Picture Tubes

Post by Kimberly »

I have a question regarding importing newer picture tubes from Paint Shop Pro into PhotoImpact 10. In earlier versions of PSP (version 8 and earlier), the file extension for tubes was .TUB, which is what PhotoImpact 10 recognizes. However, with the current version of PSP9, the file extention for tubes is .PSPTUBE. This extention PhotoImpact 10 does NOT recognize. There is a work around --- to rename the extention on ALL of my tubes one by one, which of course is very time consuming (I even tried my file renaming program, but it won't mass rename extentions automatically - just file names). I tried manually renaming the extentions on a few tubes, and those PI 10 imports just fine. Is there a setting I'm missing? There has to be an easier way to do this. :)

Ok, I was able to add a filter for extensions to my file renaming program, so I got all the tube extention names changed, however, I'm still wondering if there's a way to get PI 10 to recognize the newer .PSPTUBE extension for PSP tubes. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Has this been answered somewhere else? I have PI 12 and changing the file names dosn't make it possible to import the *.psptube
However, I've noticed that many of the psptubes that can be downloade once was availeble as ufo files as well. Are they still around?
