The computer shut down while rendering

Hello,
While rendering a project in VS10 ultimate, my computer shut down. It happens also in VS8.
I wonder if someone else experience this problem, or it's just a problem in my computer. I remember this problem occurs once in the past after some windows update and corel published a patch in order to fix it.

Did it happen only once, or does it always happen with that particular project? If so, what format(s) does the video in the project have, or anything unusual you may have done during editing?

Happened to me once but tracked it down to insufficient cooling - cpu hit the safety limit I had set in the BIOS. Changed cooling configuration in the case and all is well.

Thank you Ken and gweb,
It always happen with that particular project. I had on the timeline m2ts clips and I duplicated the audio channel from right to left (the left channel was very low).
I will ask my technician to check the cooling configuration.
