Corel Paintshop Pro - Re- open saved document Help!!

Hi I have Corel Paintshop Pro x 8 -
I did a document with layers to make my own jewellery cards to print out, saved it under ‘save for office’ but
When I Re- opened it and printed it out it came out much smaller than I first made??

What can I do to stop this?

Tried to enlarge it but it was bad quality and not in the correct place as I wanted it?

Print size of an image is determined by a combination of the pixel size (width and height) and the PPI (Pixels Per Inch) setting embedded in the Image Information. So what appears to have happened is that your original had a PPI lower than the PPI of your Save For Office image. When you use Save For Office you have to make sure that the Advanced checkbox in the Save dialogue is checked which will allow you to select different print quality settings - 96PPI, 200PPI and 300PPI, which correspond, respectively, to the Optimize options in the dropdown at the top of that dialogue (Default/Screen or Email, Desktop Printing, and Professional.

If you are creating an image for printing purposes then when you first create it you should make sure that, when selecting the size you want the printout to be in inches, you also set the PPI option to between 200 or 300 (the latter being erring on the side of caution). If you are going to use Save For Office you then have to select the same PPI setting in the dialogue.

However, I don't know why you would want to use Save For Office. Once you have created your image as stated above you can then just use the Save As option, select a lossless format (pspimage if printing from your computer or PNG or TIFF if sending to someone else to do the printing), and then save it. Regardless of your chosen save format you should always keep a copy of a layered image in pspimage format to preserve the layers for future use.

If you are unsure of PPI, image size and print size, I provided an explanation at the link below. There is plenty of info on the internet, but too much of it confuses PPI with DPI and can often lead to more confusion.

This is how I have my units set as suggested by Joe.
It does not change the data or size of the saved image, but is just an instruction that allows the printer to print to an appropriate size as different monitors / screens have different resolutions.
