Crashing during burning dvd
I haven't used my videostudio X7 in about a year. I'm trying to burn a dvd with mpeg-2 files I've already rendered. I open a new vsp, hit share then DVD, add my pre-rendered mpeg-2's in, make my menus and try to burn a dvd. It crashes while converting the 3rd menu at 41% every time. There's nothing special about the 3rd menu I can see. I don't remember having this problem before. Any help?

Re: Crashing during burning dvd
Hi Colleen
Long time no see, things must be going well.
First for any tests on the last page choose to create a disc Image ISO file, that will run the same process without creating those coasters.
You can play the ISO using VLC Media Player to check quality, then burn the ISO to disc Tools – Burn from Disc Image
Ok
Some thoughts………
You mention adding MPEG2 files, how many did you add?
Are you creating Title menu only or Chapter menus?
On your menu page have you moved any objects, maybe overlaying by mistake?
When you rendered the project to Mpeg2 DVD were there any chapter points on the top timeline, the little green triangles, don’t think it should matter, but remove those, render again, If creating Chapters do that in the burner module.
There was an issue adding Background Audio and Motion Menus, cannot remember the exact details, but a few versions ago, not sure if that was X7?
So are you using Motion Menu
In fact what menu template have you used?
Trial and error I am afraid to try to id the culprit

Re: Crashing during burning dvd
I added 11 video files. I always change the background image, audio and layout settings. No chapter menu, objects or overlaying. Yes this had a motion menu-just a simple fade in. The menu template was one of the basic text ones, but I changed all of it.
Since the fail kept happening during the 3rd menu page I tried converting the song on that menu to different formats and tried again. It kept crashing until I finally removed the audio from the 3rd menu. Then it worked. Maybe the song was a bad download.
I'm going to try a different song next burn and see if that works.
