What is an .usp file for?
I'm deleting .usp files here and there. Some are very small ones. What are they?

USP files on my pc are a 'photo impact plugin' and should not be deleted.
Do you mean VSP files (video studio project)
These are the files that contain the edited video information of your project. These may be deleted once you have completed your movie (burned to dvd). provided you do not want to edit the project further.

I mean .upd
Sorry. I got it wrong. I meant ".upd" files. They seem to create only now and then as I edit along. I tried to open one and a message told me to state the software to use.

If you go around your computer deleting any odd files you find you may very soon find your computer is severe trouble - there are hundreds of different file extensions in use and they all belong to specific programmes for a specific purpose - if you don't know what a file is it is best left alone !!!
