Corel VideoStudio X10 stabilize with Mercalli Standalone Sta

Post by JWolters »

Just a simple workflow and only for guys who own a Standalone Stabilizer.

Corel VideoStudio X10 stabilize with Standalone Stabilizer. Sample powerful and low-priced Mercalli standalone Video Stabilizer.

Mercalli V3 SAL employs 3D video stabilization, which independently stabilizes the X, Y, and Z camera axis, delivering very good video stabilization results. Mercalli also incorporates highly effective rolling-shutter correction that is caused by the CMOS-sensor of many cameras. Rolling-shutter compensation can remove the wobble, jello, and skew from your videos during stabilization.

With some tricks I can use the standalone stabilizer also from VSX10 out. For this I mark the scene to be stabilized in the bin. Click with the right mouse button and select "search on the computer". The explorer will open and this scene is also marked here. Right click again and choose "Open with". Click on up to Mercalli and start. Set parameters, analyze, stabilize and export. Back to VSX10 and update the project bin there.

Advantage, clear without losing the clip affiliation. No repetitive stabilization when changing the clip is it by length change, color correction, crossfades etc. This is unfortunately necessary with a plugin stabilizer.

Hi Hansi,

I use Mercalli V4 sal+ and like you I do all my video stabilization outside of VS, must admit, had never thought of your way, will have to experiment with it, V4 has some significant improvements over V3, but at considerable extra costs, ProDrenalin often have V4 on special, (half price) that's how I and many other members obtained V4
