I can't count how many times PSP2018 has crashed and I lost all my work with this error:
runtime error R6025
- pure virtual function call
As per MS this a programming fix. Please fix this!!! PSP x^ is the on stable version. All the other versions were a waste of money for me.

Re: Constant runtime error crashes
I have this error too; even went so far as reloading Windows 10 and all my programs. Didn't help. As soon as I started using PSP the error came back. I think the first version that caused it was X9 but it might have been X8.

Re: Constant runtime error crashes
If it was an error in the programing of PSP then more people (all?) would have it. I have not seen it at all in X9 or 2018.
Did a search on the error and came across this suggestion.

Like hartpaul, I haven't had this error with any version of PSP.

Re: Constant runtime error crashes
FWIW I've had the same runtime error. However I traced my issue to a combination of an out of spec OpenGL and old graphic card. In my case I couldn't upgrade PSP on an old laptop without upgrading OpenGL which I couldn't do without replacing the graphics card. How common is it? No idea as I haven't seen others complain about having the same issue.

Re: Constant runtime error crashes
Hartpaul: I already went through a clean install with a Corel tech for a different issue so I don't see the point of doing it again but thanks for the link.
Brucet: I don't believe that would be my issue as I have a fairly new computer and updated graphics card.
That all said, version X6 was the last stable version for me. I like the new features in 2018 so I'm kinda resentful that I'm stuck using X6, not to mention the money I keep wasting with Corel. If there is a fix it is beyond my capabilities. I'm not a coder nor programmer and forgive me but I expect a working version when I fork over my money.
Just because you don't have the issue doesn't mean it isn't a valid issue. I've had it with X8 and X9 and that was over the course of about 3 or 4 previous computers since I average a new computer every 2 years.
It's frustrating to be told that it's either your system or something you're doing. I have been using PSP since it's inception with Jasc and have been a graphic designer since 1983 so I don't think my expectations or skills are out of whack.

Re: Constant runtime error crashes
I also have a one-year-old computer with a gaming graphics card. I reloaded Windows 10 back in the spring to get rid of the error and it was gone until I installed three versions of PSP. Go figure!

Re: Constant runtime error crashes
I have had this problem in every PSP version on several computers. Have been using PSP since Jasc's first iteration of the program and I can say with some authority that this is an issue. I haven't had a stable version since X6 and upgrade to the newer version every year and every year it is a waste of money. Can't blame my computer either since I purchase a new one every 2 years. I work in PSP everyday and have since the 90's so when something "suddenly" changes, I notice.
