This has been happening since I upgraded to x9. I'm getting rather tired of it so finally asking about the problem. It's actually two questions. I hope they are related enough for one post. I did a search but came up empty, leading me to believe it's user error.
First:
I record a video using my phone or a camera or even my laptop. Playback on the said device or windows media player 10 after uploading - no issue.
As soon as I import it into X9 the soundtrack is off about 1 second (lips move before correct words come out). I have to adjust each and every one. Any suggestions on why this is happening? This is before any adjustments are made or manipulating the video in any way.
Second:
OK. I've done all of the adjustments to the sound. Fantastic. Good to go. Nope! I decide to add a transition effect. Now all of the sound is off again - and even worse than the first time. I have to start all over.
I have used older versions of the same program without this issue. What am I doing wrong this time?
Thank you.
I am using Corel VideoStudio x9 on a Windows10 laptop.

Re: Sound track off only in Corel VideoStudio x9
My guess with the info you have posted is that the VS in your laptop does not work fast enough. To verify, render the project (Share it) and see if the sound plays in Windows Media Player well.
To help you better, give properties of your video files, e.g. resolution, frames per second, bit rates, etc. When you say audio gets out of sync in VS, are you playing the clip or the project? Playing the project is demanding of the pc and it tends to not play well on less powerful pc's and using proxy files can help with this.

Look up the Help files for Ripple Editing which should help you with that problem.tryingcake wrote:Second:

Hi tryingcake
My guess is your video files that go out of sync are using variable FRAME rate. Convert to constant/fixed FRAME rate using Handbrake or other convertor then import to VS.
Try searching for "out of sync video " or similar for more things to try.

Thank you to everyone that posted. I bought a new computer last night and am setting it up. It is supposed to handle making videos a bit better. As soon as I get Corel VS loaded I will try again and your suggestions. I will report back.
