VS X10 Ultimate Closes when bringing a clip into timeline

Not that I haven't had constant problems with this machine, but X10 was working prior to installing Glarysoft Utilities and making performance changes in Windows 7. I created a restore point prior to the changes, and have restored the machine to the prior settings to no avail. Not only does it close the program when bringing any clip into the timeline, it also removes the new clips that were brought into the library.

That StackHash_1dc2 fault module normally indicates a conflicting program, as Glarysoft Utilities ( whatever is that program supposed to do ) is the last program you installed and as the release notes for that program state "Added support for Corel VSX10" making that program the most likely suspect, try uninstalling, making sure that you remove all traces of the program then launch VSX10 again. You have stated that you have tried a restore to a point before installing, but some registry elements could have been left behind

Will do. I've never had issue with CCleaner, so I'll load that to clear out the unused files and registry entries.

Many forum users use CCleaner, if that does not work then you should try uninstalling/reinstalling VSX10, as it is possible that Garysoft has corrupted the program

it also removes the new clips that were brought into the library.

That is normal on any crash

If we import clips to the library and the program crashes for any reason those clips will disappear from the library.

however closing video studio in the normal manner will update the library structure, saving the changes additions etc.
Reboot Video Studio and the clips will be there even after the next crash.

I would not worry about the above as it will happen to all users, its the PC cleaner that has done the damage.

It appears that indeed I will need to re-install. No correction from doing another restore from an even earlier time.
