Standard Palette from Materials missing

Post by afarkas »

Hi there...
Finally i installed Paintshop Pro 2018 Ultimate and made some preferences settings...
I set file locations on a separate disc (want to have everything in one place in case my system fails) and moved content from various locations to that one place...

Now i noticed, that "Standard palette" from "Materials" is missing...
Can anyone send me the file needed (and advice the location where to put it) to have it back?

Thanks

What version number does your PSP 2018 have? If you applied the revised Update 1, it should be version 20.2.0.1. If you haven't applied it, then do so and perhaps that will correct the palette.

If you have applied it, then you might want to reset the program to default by holding down the Shift key when you click on the PSP desktop icon. Make sure you save any customised workspace you may have made first.

Thank You, Sir
my installation already have the update1...
resetting the program is the one thing i want to avoid... i spent too much time to fine-tune it to meet my needs :D i wont throw all that work out by a Shift key :D
But...
I discovered that Materials are saved in "Swatch folder" ... in user/documents/PSP 2018 or in Program files/corel/PSP 2018 etc...
Now in the location where i moved the swatches from default locations, i found folders with the exact same names as the groups have where materials are grouped (Festival of Color, Muted Green etc), but there was no Standard Palette folder

So i did put all .PsPscript files that was not in subfolder in Swatches into folder i created and named "Standard Palette" - and there it is...
Now the question is, wether what i created is the real replica of the default standard palette??? :D
Can you check with your standard palette, pls?
Thanks

Well this is what my Materials palette looks like in PSP 2018. Slightly different layout and word 'Palette' missing from the button. But everything seems to be there... And in fact, when -- as I just did -- I pull down the bottom border of the palette, in fact it assumes the layout you have. So the only difference is the word 'Palette'.

Ken had asked for the version number of your PSP, not whether or not it had update 1. That's because there were 2 different releases of Update 1, and each one gave PSP a different version number. It is only by way of the PSP version number that anyone can tell whether your installation has the first release of Update 1 or the second release of Update 1.
