I've been using PSP to letter comics continuously since the Jasc days, starting in 2002. I have all my various text objects stored in a template file. I have always just used ctrl-c, ctrl-g to paste them as a vector selection into a vector layer.
Whatever trial version I had of the latest PSP was doing this fine, even though the lack of a text box was strange to me. I lettered several pages of comics during a road trip on a fairly svelte notebook computer. As the trial was expiring today, I went ahead with a full version purchase of PaintShop Pro 2018 Ultimate.
This version is not behaving like the trial. I can use the pick tool to select and manipulate a text object on a vector layer. I can ctrl-c, but not ctrl-g. I know it's on the clipboard, because it will appear in the center of the file as a new vector LAYER if I do ctrl-v.
Please, please, please somebody tell me how I can get back to pasting multiple text objects into the same layer, at the cursor position? This is the number one functionality I need for my job. PSP's ability to seamlessly integrate vector and raster (with multiple vector and text objects on a layer) is the primary reason I still use (and love) the program, despite having a full subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.
But if this functionality has actually disappeared in PSP 2018, then I am afraid that this is where Corel and I will have to go our separate professional ways.
