Selecting a camera profile under Linux

I use Aftershot Pro 3 on an Ubuntu Linux laptop. I don't have the Get More tab on the right panel. How can I select a camera profile without it? My current Aftershot Pro 3 version is 3.3.

As I understand it ASP3 will automatically recognise your camera from EXIF information in the RAW file; this is on condition that the camera database contains an entry to recognise your camera. If it also recognises the lens from the EXIF, then it will apply corrections from the lens database. The databases are somewhere in the folder tree underneath <install directory>/supportfiles.

AFAIK "profiles" refer to optical correction rather than colour correction.

If your camera isn't in the database, then there is a mechanism described in a post in this forum a long time ago, for you to tell Corel about it, and perhaps they will release an update for it. Or perhaps they will send you a file to install.

Many users of Aftershot and its predecessor Bibble - who couldn't wait for the next release - figured out the recognition strings for their camera and either modified their import scripts or the database - to trick ASP into using an existing profile. Dig back a bit in the archives and you'll find lots of posts about this.

I cannot see anything in /opt/AfterShot3(64-bit)/supportfiles/ that might look like a camera profile database. In any case, I cannot see in the ASP interface where I could select a camera profile, except in the lens correction menu where my camera Olympus E-M10 indeed shows correctly. In the windows version, apparently the Get More tab allows one to make such a selection.

Out of curiosity, I downloaded and imported the profile for the newer camera, Olympus E-M10 Mark ii. I can see where the profile is installed in my home directory, and the entry for this camera now appears in the lens correction menu, but it does not appear elsewhere. Meanwhile, the file contains references to Argyll and the string COLOR_REP "XYZ_RGB" followed by some numbers. Does not this suggest that this is a color profile?

On my Windows machine (thus far it has always used the same structures as in Linux) the profiles are in <installation>/supportfiles/Profiles/LensProfiles/

I can't find the string COLOR_REP in any of the profiles, nor RGB. I shall have a look on my linux box a bit later (my wife is having a siesta).

I can confirm that drilling down to /opt/AfterShotPro 3(64-bit)/supportfiles/Profiles/LensProfiles the command

grep COLOR *

gives no result. So it looks as though the profile for the new E-M10 Mark ii is part of a new feature not available in previous versions.

Unfortunately, I had a few occasions where Aftershot Pro 3 distorted or was unable to reproduce correctly RAW colors from Oly E-M10; Darktable developed the same RAW files much more faithfully. I was hoping that adjusting the camera color profile can correct this.
