OS is Windows 10 64 Bit.
Step 1:
So I ran the PSP Installer file. It downloaded the "psp2018_ult.zip" file. As soon as the download was done from the installer, it just prompted me with "Everything updated". And nothing happened.
Step 2:
Next I figured to uninstall the software through the windows program uninstaller first.
I did that, but it only said the installation is corrupt and removed the entry from the uninstaller program list. Did not uninstall the software at all.
Step 3:
Restarted Windows.
Tried PSP Installer again. Response: "Not enough disk space".
With over 20 GB free space left. I figured it might have trouble with the existing "psp2018_ult.zip". So I deleted it and ran the installer again. Still, "not enough disk space". But a corrupted, empty 391 MB ZIP file is created.
Step 4:
Moved Installer file to a different drive (over 100 GB free space).
Installer downloaded file "psp2018_ult.zip". As soon as the download was done from the installer, it just prompted me with "Everything updated". And nothing happened. (same as Step 1)
Step 5:
Extracted the downloaded "psp2018_ult.zip", opened the folder and started the included "Setup.exe".
The result being the attached screenshot. Basically saying something like "Your system has not been changed. To install at a later time, restart installation."
Step 6:
Went into the folder "psp2018_ult\Setup\" and started the MSI file "PSPPro64.msi" assuming to find a proper MSI installer. Funnily, if you go to Custom Install, all the "features" to install are just labeled "New feature". With several of them being disabled by default.
That didn't look very useful so I skipped.
I'd like advise on how to proceed.
I can't uninstall the software (automatically) and I can't reinstall it either.
I guess I could remove the program folder from program files, however I figure I'd have to clean up the registry as well. And before I start tampering with that, I'd love to hear feedback from others, that might have a better insight and/or experienced this problem as well
