Re: Removal of blank area aroound video
Okay got it reinstalled again. On that last screen shot nothing on the panal works. All the options, higth, width, fill are all grayed out and not usable. Here is another screen shot of it in the overlay. The pic inside of the dotted lines is the way it is recorded. The problem is when it is placed back in the video track it picks up extra black area on all sides.

Hi
Your recent images are on a white background that is making them smaller to view, unlike the one you posted here
http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 19#p348725
What do you mean by “Okay got it reinstalled again”
Can you go back a step to the same position from the above link.
Background as Green
Video added to overlay track
No filters applied
Right click the preview screen for Fit To Screen
Drag the whole preview screen diagonally away from the corner
Drag the corner resize handle to increase the frame size, about 20%
Right click screen for Anchor - Centre - Centre
View attached screen capture.

Re: Removal of blank area aroound video
I followed the video and it resized it in the overlay. How do I apply the overlay to the video. When I move it back to the video if goes back to the way it originally was. Or do I just burn it from the overlay? I notice I only have one overlay track is that normal? Thanks.

Hi
If you add the video to the top track you can treat it similar to the overlay track.
Double click the clip to open the options panel, choose the Attributes tab, then tick “Distort Clip”
You should now see the yellow trim handles.

Hi ottersea
Because of the type of black border we can also use the “Cropping Tool” as mentioned by David in an earlier post.

Re: Removal of blank area aroound video
Okay think I got it. The solid outlined box is the 16:9 aspect ratio, correct. I saved the video so I can refer to in the future.
