Hi,
I have created several vector layers with circles and squares and can happily move/resize these.
When I create a Vector Layer with text it seems that I cannot move their position on the image or rotate/edit them etc. Are they locked somehow?
Very frustrating.
Many thanks!

Do you have selected a proper layer?
Some screen shot of work area would be helpfull..

Hi Radim,
Yes, layer selected. And the text on the image itself.
See attached .png if it uploads correctly.
The 'Text Area' text seems to be locked and unable to be moved.
I copied it and was able to move it to create the '.org' text OK.
The text can't be rotated - I'd like to be able to use a particular font and angle it upwards from left to right.
Also if I try to edit it how do I apply the change and all sorts of things are happening like the text starts going backwards as I type
Many Thanks!

Re: PSP X9 - Manipulating Vector Text
Please crop the image so that we see only a quarter of the circle and the Layers palette is shown about twice as large. It is difficult to read the layers to see what they are labelled and where the text is.
ie eliminate the excess and show only what is important. We don't need to see all the tools on the left of the screen.

Re: PSP X9 - Manipulating Vector Text
Alright this is a guess, but I think you might be experiencing text wrapping.
So with text if you click on top of another vector shape, as it appears you have, the text will either enter into Text Wrapping mode where the shape acts kind of like a text box. Limiting the text to that area. Or it'll enter text on a path mode. This will have the text following the path of the object, essentially attached directly to the object.
In both cases, moving, rotating, do not work. You need to create a new text object making sure to hold ALT when creating it so that it doesn't attach itself to another vector.

Re: PSP X9 - Manipulating Vector Text
I am on the right track. It just didn't work.
I then noticed some of the outer text on both sides were missing, so I adjusted the kernel to zero and it is perfectly justified on both sides in the rectangle.
In the past I always worked with text as floating, on a raster layer. Now it is a vector and I don't get the white background transparent. I want to write the books blurp in colour, over the background image, as a seperate layer. Here I can't figure it out.
In the interim I jump between Photoshop and PSP, but it is some effort. I would lije to work in PSP only.
