Dubing Out Back Ground Music

Post by RobCharles1981 »

Hi is there a way to "Dub Out" Back Ground Music of a Video, and keeping the General Audio in if that makes sense?

Thanks

Not with Video Studio, However you can use Audacity, a free open source, cross platform audio software, this program certainly has the ability to filter out unwanted noise

With Audacity, you need to find a clear part of the audio which just has the music you want to delete. You use that as a sample and the program then in effect searches for the same or similar sounds throughout the soundtrack to delete. The risk in doing so, of course, is that the same frequencies in the general background audio will also be removed. But you can only try it and see if the end result is acceptable.

I also use the Magix Audio Cleaning Lab to good effect for this, but it is not a freebie...
