Re: non stop animation
Hi Vasilis
Yes that is correct
Stop Motion is what it says, it stops video playing, saves multiple images to create an animation effect.
It has to use Video as the source not Images.
I do not believe that Stop Motion is what you need to use to complete your project.

Re: non stop animation
I do suggest you get down to learning not only how the program operates but what the different options are.
Stop motion is the process where you collect a number of still frames and by slight movements between frames you create a moving animation.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Re: non stop animation
I thought Vasilis was talking about NON STOP motion that is repeating animation nothing to do with 'stop motion'
is that right vasilis you want motion that repeats without end ???
if you make a video certain programmes on your computer can be set to keep repeating , it is the program that does that not the video , the video in most programs will only play once

Re: non stop animation
It appears that Vasilis' native language is not english so english speakers need to stretch normal definitions.
Vasilis, are you trying to make a video clip or static picture "move" such as a pan or zoom in/out? If so, that is easily done in VS.
If you want to create a motion video from a series of still images, referred to as stop motion animation, that can also be done.

GEWB

Re: non stop animation
Hi
Vasilis is Greek as far as I know and yes there is a language problem.
Being a teacher of mathematics wishes to create tutorials containing I assume maths problems.
Getting the characters onto the project has been a problem with so many options available, many of which have been discussed.
Then animating the text / characters seems to have led to the Stop Motion, I personally don’t think it is suitable.
Then again Vasilis could be working on a different project.
I have attached a project file to open using X10.5 with my thoughts on what he is trying to achieve, maybe Vasilis is after a more complex approach.

Re: non stop animation
There may be more than one way of skinning this cat . . .
have you considered using a pan and zoom filter on the still image, combined with key frames to change any apparent movement and objects like pointing fingers or arrows to empahsize a point?

Re: non stop animation
There was a discussion about this over a year ago when similar suggestions were made but Vasilis has not said he tried them

Re: non stop animation
Vasilis
We assume you are referring to Capture-stop Motion
We can use a camcorder or DSLR to capture images, a lot of images to create an animation
We can also import our images, again a lot of images, the images would be in sequence, 200 would create a video 8 seconds in duration, assuming we use pal at 25fps, the file created will be a UIS file, that is a Ulead Image Sequence file, I guess simular to a vs file.
If you are intending to animate a few images that show your mathematical tutorials then the Stop Motion is not for you.
So how many images are you trying to animate.
To be honest I would not use Stop Motion if importing images, I would simply add those to the edit timelines, not using uis files.
I took about 300 jpeg images, taken every 15 seconds of poppy flowers opening in the sunlight, the resultant video, call it stop motion, time lapse, whatever you wish to call it, created a nice effect..
Completely different to what I believe you are trying to achieve.
If I am mistaken in what you are trying to do, then please give me more details.
I mentioned earlier that I do not think stop motion is what you need, it is only confusion the issues.
Vasilis did you download the last zip file, project showing what I believe you are trying to achieve, yes you may be after a more complex effect, bit is it on the right lines.
You may be best in providing us with a sample project showing the progress you have made
