load mpeg vio driver error
when i try to open video studio 7 I get an error message 'load mpeg driver error'. The program will open but the option to choose mpeg files from project properties is not available. Also when I try to create a disc the program crashes. This program was working well, then it played up so I reinstalled it and now I have this error message. Can anyone solve this for me?

Thanks for your help. I already tried downloading this patch. I have run the patch but it has not made any difference. is there another step I need to take with this patch?

I've had the same problem. Even contacted technical support multiple times but they didn't help. If you find a solution other than the driver, let me know. I have a bootable back-up drive on the same machine, and VideoStudio works on it, so it appears it's a software issue with something I installed on one drive and not the other. I have to reboot to use the product, but would love to fix it.

You should reinstall UVS. After reinstall the problem should be solved.
If the problem still exists, check System drive:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\7.0 (if you are using UVS8 please change the 7.0 to 8.0) and look for uvs.ini. If this file is missing or damaged you will also get the "MPEGVIO driver error" message.
If the file is not damaged, please add these settings into UVS.ini and save it:
[MPEGVIO]
SupportSwitch=1
mpegdll0=uvMPEG2.dll
mpegdll1=uvMPEGWO.dll
MPEGActiveDriverNum=1
MPEGActiveDriverName=Ulead MPEG vio Driver,
The "," should be included.
Hope this helps.
